Editor’s Note by Rhonda Frye

I am a living testimony of how God knows us better than we know ourselves. Never in a million years could I have imagined I would be up to my eyeballs, in over my head and smack dab in the middle of the Christian Music Industry. Music was something I used for my own enjoyment from childhood, but little did I know God’s plan was for me to work with music in some form or fashion every single day. I love music with my heart, soul and mind. I love to write it, sing it, play it, write about it and promote it. Music stirs the soul and Christian music transforms lives. I am honored to serve the Lord this way.

I am also honored to work alongside Judy Nelon as the Editor in Chief of GospelMusicUpdate.com. Judy has been a friend, an encourager and mentor to me for a while. In getting to know her better, I’ve realized we share two passions: Music and Knowing God. I am thrilled to work with Judy and thrilled to continue my adventure in Music Journalism at GospelMusicUpdate.com.

The desire of my heart is to be a servant in this new role. My intention is to serve industry personnel, artists and fans by connecting the music and message with audiences all over the world. The world is desperate for the hope, peace and love that only Christ can give.

At GospelMusicUpdate.com, we will post news and features covering artists from all genres of Christian music. We will also post concert stories, music and book reviews and devotions. We plan to attend as many events as possible presenting live coverage and updates. We are excited at the possibilities as we move forward. Using the latest in internet technology, it is our vision to connect artists with audiences by promoting the music and message of hope to a world in need.
