Nashville, TN ---- (December 13, 2007) ---- One of Country music’s most beloved bands, Diamond Rio, is hitting the road on their first Christmas tour in support of their new holiday release, Diamond Rio Christmas: The Star Still Shines. In between dates, the group made appearances in Nashville with the first stop at the Grand Ole Opry where they performed two Christmas songs from the new CD. Senator Lamar Alexander was at the Opry the same night and the band performed a third song with one of their mega-hits, “One More Day,’ that was a special request from the Senator.
A few days later, Marty Roe, Dana Williams, and Jimmy Olander were the special guests on WSM’s popular program, “An Intimate Evening With Eddie Stubbs.” The two-hour show was broadcast live from the Ford Theater at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Stubbs played several cuts from Diamond Rio Christmas: The Star Still Shines and the show also featured in-depth interviews with the three members of the group.
